There are so many villages in India where sanitary pads are still not available because it is commercially not viable for the bigger brands. The villages in which it is available, the shops are run by male shopkeepers, making it difficult for the women to purchase due to age old taboos around menstruation. Unipads is reaching to the women in rural communities with safe and hygienic solutions to their periods. And it is made possible by our Kalyanis, who don’t just distribute pads, but stay in these villages to educate and answer any questions related to periods and Unipads.
We believe that growth happens together. And in this goal to reach the underprivileged we have been blessed with more than 36 Ngo’s and CSR partners. These partnerships enable us to spread awareness and provide safe menstrual hygiene solutions to more women in every part of the world.
Our vision is supported by schools, change-maker brands, communities, and corporates who wish to help the society and empower women through their efforts. These orders also help us employee women at the manufacturing plant and be a part of a larger change that you wish to make with your initiative.
So far all our efforts were focused on empowering women in rural and underprivileged communities. We were often asked why the urban consumer was deprived of these healthier pads that are helping the planet and the society. So we have turned our iconic blue pad into an urban solution that is free from toxins, is sustainable and helps the planet. The product is the same with new colours and design.
